Lough Lannagh

Located a 5-minute walk from Castlebar and recently regenerated Lough Lannagh offers an accessible loop walk, lakeside scenery and modern amenities for contemporary filming outdoor scenes and tracking shots on the edge of the town.

Location features include an 85-meter-high bridge, paved walkway right around the lake suitable for tracking shots, ruins of an old castle, wooded shorelines, footbridges, and views toward Croagh Patrick.  Other features include “On Sight” by Cleary & Connolly (viewing posts) and a permanent bronze sculpture trail by Elaine Griffin.  With spacious car park and diverse wildlife—including brown trout, swans, and ducks.
