Newport House

Located in the town of Newport this country house represents a historic Georgian House and gardens adjoining the town and overlooking the Newport River and quay.  It is a Georgian mansion famous for its elegant architecture.  

The detached seven-bay two-storey double pile country house offers accommodation and cuisine based on fresh local produce.  In the autumn Virginia creepers transforms the exterior of the house further enhancing its beauty and architectural splendour.

Once home of the O’Donnells, Earls of Tir Connell, the house provides a unique opportunity to experience the elegance and hospitality of an historic Irish Country House.  Famous as a fishing centre Newport House offers access to salmon and sea trout fishing and fly fishing on the Newport River (8 miles) and on Lough Beltra.
