St Marys Ballinrobe – Harry Clarke Windows
Built over 150 years ago St. Mary’s Church in Ballinrobe features eight two-light windows which Monsignor D’Alton commissioned Harry Clarke to create in 1924 resulting in a significant series of stained-glass windows.
The church is best known for its stained-glass windows that form part of the largest collect and the Ballinrobe windows depict scenes from the life of Jesus and Mary, and eight Irish saints containing narrow borders of floral and abstract designs.
