Tourmakeady Waterfall

Tourmakeady Waterfall is located at the top of the Glensaul River at the within the beautiful Tourmakeady Woods.

It can be found 2.5km from the small village of Tourmakeady on the banks of Lough Mask and surrounded by woodlands and streams. It offers picturesque spot where the Glensaul River cascades, highlighting the area’s natural beauty near Lough Mask and the Partry Mountains, and is part of a loop walk.

It is an easy, 2.1 km loop walk (about 1 hour) to the waterfall starting from the forest car park and along the Glensaul River. The scenery is a mix of ancient and native trees and a in 2000 a section of the wood was set aside to establish a ‘millennium forest’ to commemorate the 21st century.

The waterfall drop is approximately 20 metres and provides great scenery over the glad and through the enchanting forest below.
