Brian Durcan is a cinematographer from Westport, Co. Mayo, known for pairing technical precision with strong visual storytelling. His work is grounded in atmosphere, character and story, with a visual style that moves fluidly between intimate realism and heightened cinematic expression.

His recent work includes Collision for RTÉ Storyland and Night Driver (2025) for Virgin Media Discovers, with Night Driver earning a Best Cinematography nomination at the 2025 EDA Awards. He was cinematographer on the Screen Ireland Focus shorts Magic Markers (Dir. Jason Branagan) and Minding (Dir. Emily Foran), and worked as second unit cinematographer on the feature film, Woken for Fantastic Films.

Brian was also cinematographer on the National Talent Academy short The Parting (directed by Marissa Aroy and written by Libby McCormack), produced under the Live Action National Talent Academy First Credit Short Film Scheme.

His cinematography on Remote Strutting, A Simple Killing and Bruise has received multiple festival accolades and awards, reflecting a consistent commitment to craft and collaboration.
